I'm starting this blog to write about some things that have been on my mind and hopefully find some like minded people to talk with.
I'm in my late 30s, single, a midlevel policy wonk civil servant in DC, and a liberal protestant. I love kids, but its looking like I'm not going to have any of my own. I'm at the point in my life where most of my friends have kids.
I feel like I'm not very easily categorized right now, hence the name of the blog. I'm a little too old to be a young adult. I'm not part of a couple. I don't really identify as childfree, I feel like communities need to support families. On the other hand, sometimes I'm a little tired of hearing how hard it is to be a parent and how the needs of families always trump anything I need.
Oh yeah, I also was just diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disease.
